CRUNCHY OVEN FRIED CHICKEN

INGREDIENTS

2 pounds skinless, boneless chicken breast, cut into strips

1 cup all-purpose flour 

4 tablespoons breadcrumbs 

1 large egg 

⅓ cup buttermilk or regular milk 

½ cup butter or oil 

1 teaspoon baking powder 

2 teaspoons ground paprika 

1 teaspoon garlic powder

1 teaspoon onion powder

Salt and pepper

INSTRUCTIONS

    Preheat the oven to 410 degrees. Place a roasting pan or rimmed baking sheet in the oven to heat up.

    In a medium bowl, whisk together the egg. Then, add the milk. In a separate bowl, combine the flour, baking powder, breadcrumbs, and seasoning together. Mix well.

    Prepare the chicken: toss the chicken pieces in the flour, making sure to coat evenly. Shake off any extra flour. Then toss the chicken pieces into the egg mixture. After, dip each piece into the flour mix again, make sure to coat very well.

    Next, press the breading well on the chicken to make it stick. Remember, we want flaky and crunchy!

    Carefully, take the baking pan out of the oven. Melt the butter or oil on it. Place the coated chicken pieces on the tray. For spacing, we recommend doing at least 2 batches.

    Bake for 10-12 minutes then carefully flip. Bake for another 5-10 minutes. (Bake at the longer recommended time if you have thicker pieces of chicken). Then broil the chicken until it turns golden brown and crispy.

    Final step, add Original Fancy Sauce to the chicken or pour in a small serving bowl for dipping. Our all-time favorite is to make a fried chicken sandwich and slather on the sauce!
